INFORMATION
Flint Creek Water Park, located on Highway 29 in Wiggins, Mississippi, and an
easy 35 miles north of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, offers water fun for the whole
family. The park is comprised of 1900 total acres and features a 600-acre lake
with 13 miles of shoreline stocked with bass, bream, crappie and catfish
offering excellent fishing 24-hours a day. The lake is also a favorite for
boating, water skiing and swimming. Aluminum boat rentals are available. Flint
Creek's Water Town with kiddy waterslides and four adult giant waterslides, is
open most of the year.
Landlubbers can enjoy camping and picnicking all year
round. With 132 fully developed camping spurs, 34 vacation cabins, and 12
camphouses, Flint Creek is a terrific place to spend weekends or vacations.
Campers can enjoy swimming at their own private beach, or just enjoy nature,
taking a hike down the nature trail, fragrant with daisies, honeysuckle, roses
and red clover. Wild turkey, deer, squirrels, and ducks and other waterfowl can
often be found along the lakeside. At lunch or dinner, enjoy the picnic area
equipped with barbeque grills and picnic tables. For added convenience, Flint
Creek also has 2 private pavilions and 1 enclosed lodge hall. Every July 4, the
water park holds it annual Fireworks Display enjoyed by locals and visitors
alike. An annual haunted forest is held the Saturday before Halloween.
The business district of Wiggins lies two miles outside
Flint Creek's entrance gate which features grocery stores, specialty shops,
fuel, a hospital, golf course, camping, bait and fishing supplies, video
rentals, and restaurants.

Flint Creek Water
Park offers two Class A campgrounds consisting of 132 total R.V. campsites, of
which, 82 being first-come-first-serve. All campsites in camping area #2
are equipped with cable TV hookups (first-come-first-serve area). All
campsites in camping area #1 are equipped 50/30 amp electrical service.
Most of these sites offer sewer hookup. A sanitary dump station is
conveniently located for use.
Each site also has
outdoor tables and barbecue grills. Each campground provides a sand
beach and a designated swimming area along its shoreline. For those
who may not camp in a self-contained RV unite, there are seven bathhouses conveniently
located throughout the campgrounds, with toilets, hot water, and shower.
Each campground has laundry facilities available.
There is also a
primitive camping area (tent camping) consisting of 42 undeveloped sites with
water.

Three bedrooms –
queen size bed in one room and a full size bed in the other 2
rooms. In addition to the fully equipped kitchen w/ pots, pans,
dishes, silverware, and glassware for 8, the Millennium units also have a
refrigerator with icemaker, stove/oven, built in coffee maker & can opener,
microwave oven, and ceiling fans in each bedroom. The living room has a
27in. T.V. w/VCR and a smaller T.V. in the bedroom that does not have a VCR.
There is glass along the back wall of the living room, which has a door going
out onto a covered deck with a swing and rockers. This unit has 1
bathroom w/shower only. These cabins are waterfront. They do have direct
access to the water, but they sit further back from the water than some of the
other cabins.
There is a 3 night
minimum when reservations are made within 90 days of arrival; 5 night minimum
before 90 days. (We can call on January
17th to get the 3 night minimum).
Each cabin sleeps 8 people.
There is a $5/night charge per person for everyone over 4 people up to a
maximum of 8 people.
RV parking is
available at the millennium cabins (one RV per cabin) with water and electric
hookups. The charge is ½ of the cost of
the cabin (or $55/night). A dump
station is available for septic tank cleanout.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From New Orleans: Take I-59
North to Exit # 29 The Poplarville / Wiggins exit; Turn right on Hwy 26 East.
Continue straight approx 25 miles and after crossing over hwy 49 you will
notice the brown rectangular Flint Creek Water Park sign. Turn right and this
will put you on hwy 29. Follow signs over railroad tracks and park will be
about 1 mile past stop sign on the left. This route will be about 90 miles and
require less than 2 hours to drive.
