The Getaway 44 Repairs

are under way!

Back from Tennessee and the cabinet work began.  Thanks to our friends, Pat & Boo, the Trolls

who live under the bridge, for letting us hang out at their place during this phase of the renovations.

It sure made things a lot easier getting all the wood and doors to the boat having access from the street.

Pat & Boo spoiled us with many home cooked meals and their wonderful hospitality!

Once the upper cabinets were in place, the cypress ceiling had to be installed.

Raymond kept the beer iced down, and James even got in a nap one afternoon!

Raymond’s lighting made all the difference in showing off the beauty of the cypress wood ceilings.

Many thanks to our friend, Al Wolfe, who jumped in and finished the job when the boys pooped out!

Dennis’ brother, Mack, was also called in to offer his expertise as the cabinet maker “extraordinaire”

when the time came to install the cabinet doors and build the lower cabinets.

It’s going on 8 months now, and

we can’t wait until she’s finished, so we can enjoy another safe summer of fun on the Tickfaw River.
